Alarm Problem

I have now taken my car out from the garage (after a long wait!) it took us a while as the battery was complelty dead. We tried a charger, portable jump start machine then jump started with leads from my Dads car, it did take a while.

I took it for a fairly long drive to try and get some charge in the battery I then brought it back home, locked it (which was fine) beeped twice. I then went out a short while later opened it up (no beep) it unlocked the doors fine. But then when I open the doors the alarm keeps going off? this is now the case every time I unlock the car I need to jump in and press the button to open the doors.

Anybody any ideas with whats going?

My only thought is the car is confused as before the battery died the car was locked, alarmed. I then had to open the door with the key to get to the battery then restarted. I have tried holding down the lock button etc.

Confused :tumble:

I am sure you can reset the alarm by holding the key fob button down?

Also a c-tek trickle charger is the best money you can spend, :approve:

Good to hear you have got it out mate :)

I will try this (think I did though but will try again)

Thanks mate I was supposed to get a ctek but never got round to this! So so paranoid when out though, parking etc but I absolutely love it.

Will need to get some pictures up soon!
