Agreed Value Insurance

Hello Folks,

It's that time of year again. ClassicLine have quoted me £110 all in, which I'm very happy with

However, I'm wondering if my current agreed value @ £16k is, erm, current. Generally, when a
decade of age is added, the landmark tends to bump the price. I've seen the £25k car with its
Ronal wheels on-line, but think that's just a will it fly test.

















Anyone able to offer some guidance, please? Online Auctioneers "The Market"
show a value of around £17.5k, but that £25k asking price is clearly skewing that.
Surely, no-one has paid that money for one, have they?

I think alot of decent standardish 5s should be agreed between 15-25k....

I’m nudging circa £20k for mine now. I always think if you came to claim, they would wriggle out like hell.. but we can but try..

just got my renewal from Adrian Fucks this morning and £105 I didn’t think was bad... but that’s PLUS the guaranteed value, so all in a similar price to what you pay at Classicline @LowiePete.

I’ll give them a try as I’m not really a fan of Flux..

I was with Lancaster previously, but they employ the "fly a kite" tactic of adding £50
to the premium each renewal, only for me to try and haggle it back down again. Well,
life is just too short, and that's what they count on - robbin B's!

ClassicLine just sent me a straight renewal with none of that palaver, so I'm happy to
recommend them. The strange part about all this is that they don't want to discuss any
prospective values over the 'phone, hence my enquiry here. I paid £24 for the add last
year and it runs for two years. Perhaps I should go for an amount that the car will be
worth in 2022...

Get as much as you can for the agreed value. If they will extend to £25k then do it..... whats the downside of having the higher valuation?
