Advice on front suspension.... 19 16v cab

After taking my car on the track at french car show on sunday I have realised that my suspension and handling is extremely poor.

I think my front dampers have had is and its mainly the springs doing all the work and the rear dampers aren't doing much either... :(

I purchased some Koni struts for the rear just over a week ago and waiting for them to arrive so it just leaves the front to sort out. My springs are only 4 months old so I'm looking to just upgrade the front dampers.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a good set up to £200ish? Also where to get to brand new top mounts, might as well replace trhem at the same time. Think some one in the forum mentioned where to get the top mounts on sunday but i've totally forgot

Any help appreciated

Billy

Well all i can say is that top mounts are very difficult to source im not sure but i swear someone said that you could use meggy top mounts and use the differnt holes on the strut top.

as for the shocks are you after standard or upgraded ones?

Top mounts from Renault are stupid money, think it was about £80 each last time I looked.

But yeah F7R megane coupe ones can be used.

Where can I find a set of the megane F7r mounts for a reasonable price?

I was thinking of matching up the fronts with koni's but I can't find a pair below £300, for that price I might aswell get a full set of Gaz coilovers?

Peter your right about the cab being quite flexible, when I park in on my sloped drive with the roof down and try to put it up it's pretty much impossible nothing seems to line up and I have to reverse onto the flat road to do it

Found a big brake conversion today for the cabby whilst I remember too

2x 286mm front groved and vented discs
2x 238mm rear groved discs with bearings pressed in
2x caliper extender brackets
4x high tensile mounting bolts

£215 inc vat and free delivery

2 months ago I fitted a brand new set of rear discs, bearings and abs rings to my 19, they will be going cheap when I get the big brake conversion if anyone needs a set.

just remember you need to use the 5gtt pad carriers on that conversion, the 19,s carriers make the pad sit half off the dics

as for frpnt shocks, avo is a good bet

What brackets? To convert from 19 to 21t? Whats better about the 21 calipers? I can get a set if need be, will they work with the big brake converion I am going for?

Did you try to get a price for koni or gaz inserts there about half the price of full dampers. I never had any bother with them.
