Clio Adey's Clio 172 Turbo (project 250bhp per tonne)

A few more odd jobs tidied up this morning. Finished the fuel lines to the tank and refitted the sender unit as that was loose. Mid exhaust mount replaced and realigned. Rear one wasn't to bad but had dropped slightly so shored it up with cable ties and realigned the rear bracket then sliced off the exhaust tip for a stealth slash cut look. Hard to see now so unsuspecting bar the burble.

Off down to shortly to sort out some air filter pipe work and then I might take her for a clean.

Horses for courses. I'll start using the turbo daily and see how it goes, had my supercharged one at the same power and more for quite a while. Delivery is a little different.

Also deleted the carbon canister and the heavy lump of metal from bellow the engine mount today. Parts towards my stripping. Also started work in an air filter setup but it's very tight in there. I think I will have to relocate my battery to free up space for a decent sized filter.

Adey , any gains from different filter? If it ain't broke ..,

The one that I had gas a battery relocation to the boot iirc

Be interesting to see what you think, after living with it for a while.

Yeah know what you mean. Do you reckon supercharged is more the way than turbo Dave?
I love my Turbo cars but I already have a 9 Turbo, 21 Turbo, S60 D5 (Turbo D) and then the NA Clio 172. I love the immediacy of the Clio, it's a different drive. If I add FI I want to keep that quality so Supercharger. It's driven by the fact that I already have a load of Turbo cars, basically. Plus I want that whine in my life.
I would miss the induction noise but car number five will take care of that now :)

Good job the cup alternator setup is on the way as I found this today. The thread is a bit battered so I threw a longer bolt in to try and save it. Has a bite now so hold last until the other setup is here and I can change it. 20160308_151505.webp

Also took her to the wash place, did a decent job but it needs a proper deep clean. Still green in places and the paint is full of contamination. Wheels also have glitter in the paint.....

Cup spoiler also on its way just because I like the shape over the stock one.

Fuel lines rail and regulator are Ph1 meggy injectors and a modified Ph2 pickup in the tank by the looks of it.

On to the cup alternator and ac delete today. And lucky I did as I found more bolts had rattled loose lol. No biggey though things are a little tight with the boost pipes there also. I may look into running the pas low pressure line in front of the radiator to free up a few inches.

Missing bolts
