Abs

Does anyone have a pin-out diagram of the ABS units. Haynes indicates theres 10pins when infact there is 25!

ABS light stays on from ignition and doesnt go out. Checked all sensors and all seem fine on the multimeter..

You need to test resistance in ohms. Looking for a result between 1.1ish and 1.3ish across each sensor.

Tested all sensors and the wires running down the centre channel to the back, all seemed ok. rear sensors were a little lower than expected, in the region of 0.9 but as both were the same didnt seem too suspect.

Took it for a drive  and didnt cure the problem either...

Will probably jack it back up and get dad to put it on the scope and check for a pulse when a wheel is spun.

Any other ideas..

out of interest, in the haynes it shows the ABS wiring to have 2 bulbs attached, one runs off of the computer under passenger chair, but when that is unplugged the light on the dash is still on... Where is the other bulb connected to?

cheers

The only one I can think it'd be is the handbrake light. Part of the warning system for when it goes really, really pear shaped :axe:

Just to update that the ABS problem is now sorted.
Popped over to see Interior Phil over in Slough yesterday, took my ABS computer with me which we popped into his car and gave the same ABS light on problem I was having.

Luckily he was able to dig out a spare which i tried and worked fantastically. Dave your a legend, and many thanks to Phil!

Roll on the MOT!:good: :good: :good:
