About 24 Vee's melting in the sun at Donnington

TRL

So come on who was there, L9000PY, Kriss, Acid, my HT52, the madman in front of me with the racing set up, Nos and a perspex screen!!! Wild......

Impressive site to see Kriss racing up my inside on the M1 at a steady 70 (officer)......traffic was cack, only took me 5 hours door to door....nice.

The few bends we all took flat out sure as hell made it for me, did I spy Kriss with an in-car camera??? BTCC style.

Was good to take a few bends at the track. Managed to get a few power slides in to test out the new conti tyres. I had seriously thought about deliberately spinning the Vee on the hairpin on Saturday for a laugh but decided against it.

Journey home was a mare, I only live in Chester about 85 miles from Donnington and I didn't get home till 22:00. Got stuck in the big pile up on the M6 !

Was a great weekend though and meeting so many great owners was fantastic, also seeing that many Vee's - especially on Sunday was real treat for me and, I am sure, everyone who ventured to that part of the circuit ;-)

Had no-one in convoy apart from the usual boggo Clio's. I did have loads of kids in cars wanting me to rev up the engine in the traffic jam, also lots of people wanting to talk to you as they drive past - broke up the monotany. Though being stuck in a jam in the Vee is better than many cars.

I will be updating my site with a full write-up and pics.

L900OPY Was me, I take it you were in the Vee next to me?

Who was the random matey that blagged a lift on the parade lap?

Dennis are you referring to my passenger ?

I gave a guy (Phil) a go on the parade lap who is seriously keen to buy a Vee. He works in Chester too ;-)

His boss has a Vee locked away in a garage with only 60 miles on the clock.

Doh ... hadn't realized that you were L900OPY Dennis! I'd intended to go round and say hello to more of the owners, but for various reasons didn't get to speak to as many as I'd hoped. The seats and harnesses should have given me a hint that it was you ... tho' the fact that my only mental image of you includes a hard hat and full safety gear up a pylon didn't help ;).

It was me who let you in front as you came down the hill at the big bun fight for the Coppice tunnel, and then followed you out thru' the tunnel. My passenger tried to get some video footage of your exhaust going thru' the tunnel but unfortunately the sound pick up on my camera wasn't good enough to catch anything much!

I though it was you parked on front of me Andy, yeah I went wiith the same intention, met few people tho.

Cheers for letting me in, was a nightmare only having one tunnel out of the place.

I revved it up a bit in the tunnel for a giggle but soon realised that apart from the noise It would choke people out.

Look forward to another meeting sometime in the near future

Yeh Dennis I was the Mk1 on your right admiring those seats....the random passenger in my car was out of the GT Raider, he wanted to hear the Vee in anger. It only occurred to me as we slid round the old hairpin that he did not even know if i could drive, by the end of the parade he was well sweaty and totally loved up with the Vee. Car had some serious grip on the day - I wanna track it now!!!!

Kriss - I want to see that footage bud - wish you had been filming me when I took a shortcut off the M1 at J18 roadworks, I went blind over a hump back bridge in the dark and landed sideways....I became a little more awake and focussed after that.....

bugger that TRL

i was just as pissed sitting in 7 hours of M1 traffic

the vee6 does look a bit space shippy, but no need to put it into orbit!
