5gt turbo

hello everyone i have recently installed a 5 gt turbo lump in my 19 but having problens with the turbo it seems to be dumping pressure rather quickley i dont have a boost gauge as yet but it is loosing at about 3000rpm its pushing 260 bhp with balie dump valves any ideas ???? ive tryed increasing it pressure and decreasing pressure the turbo has only done 500 miles so i got about 1000 lest with out a turbo timer

what do you mean dumping pressure? and were are you ajusting it and why? 260 is a lot of bhp , are you sure its that much? and a turbo timer wont make any difference to anything mate performance or running your turbo in.

Would you like it to dump the pressure slowing then, wow got to love this post, does the dump valve add an extra 100bhp or does you mate danny got a cosworth and it beats that.

Could be several things...

Check all the pipes between the turbo and inlet and the intercooler for any cracks or splits etc...

are all the jubilee clips tight?

Have you tried blanking off the dumpvalve?

actuator could be stuck open?

Is the plenum split?

Are all the vacume pipes intact from the plenum to the actuator etc...
