Yes that was in the new toy= TTR
and im still not happy with the way its running :? . Got no lag at all and the pull in third feels like its in second, but i'm still not getting all the rev's i want because the throttle position sensor is playing up. The Next thing is to get the car even lighter. The tyre well is comming out and being replaced with an aluminium cover, but i don't think it will ever be as light as Dave's RS21." Nice guy though! he came up to my mate after and said sorry for running the strip that way, but his point had been made." BALLISTIC " or what :?:

Thought I'd just add my comments and experiences.
A GTA Turbo with 200bhp and a drag co. of 0.30 will do between 149 and 155 according to various road tests, so a 21T wouldn't need that much more power to reach 160. I had my phase 3 up to 151 mph in convoy with a GTA on the way to Zolder recently (he was a little surprised) it has standard, wheels and gearing and was only running 1.1 bar with a Scorpion exhaust, I was past 6k in top on the rev counter so I think it was pretty close.
As for beating an RS6 - The book says they have 245 bhp per ton but they run higher gearing than a 21T and will loose more power through the transmission. My phase 2 that Matts selling at the moment had more power at the wheels than a 250bhp Subaru tested at the same time but only 218 at the flywheel. Standard 21T has power to weight of about 150bhp per ton so would need I reckon about another 90bhp to bring it on par acceleration wise. So about 265 bhp in total - doesn't look so far fetched know does it!

So Andie......now you've got an all conquering 21 will we see it at Avon Raceway on the 31st be nice to see it go finally. Not forgetting the Thor rolling road day coming up.

It is worth remembering though the GTA has higher top end gearing than the 21Turbo though, as i said before a std 21T ratio allows 151mph at the limiter, whereas a GTA box in a 21T (obviously if it pointed the right way) would allow just over 160mph.
We need to go out to play with a GPS speedo I think.... :twisted:
