5 pot rs engine but which project car?

So the longer I stay away from new projects the harder it is getting especially with summer starting to show itself

Anyway as most know I gave a rwd mid engine vag powered r5 which has a bit left to drive but longer term plans for it. Also have a vx220 turbo tucked away

As of last night seem to have a tt rs engine setup a good friend cant be bothered to finish installing and knowing I want to install into something asking me to take it away

Nothing happening straight away due to diy and rebuild of garage but does one put it in the clearly better chassis and handle the power well or down the classic r5 setup and try to make it a non death trap while sounding a bit special

Tfsi 4 pot or well spec'd 20vt for fast road / track Steve, easy low lag 390bhp. Its tight in the front with a 4 pot and short 5 sped vag box

If you went to the trouble of mounting up from it would have to also go Quattro and consider dsg

So maybe it makes more sense to put in the vx but really had the v6 s/c lump or rs4 one in mind

5 pot just has something about it and if it had not been offered would not be having these thoughts

I have a spare DSG box of that nature, been stored for some time so will have a look for you what's on it still

Dave that box is not a dsg its cvt

So 2015 spec rs3 lump 500/520 on software is now on a pallet and trying to work out how I pay for it.........

I am having stranger thoughts of using for the family love bus t5 or something that is a really easy installation but its not going to be ballistic like a sub 900kg mid engine car

The track beast Caterham 7 stylee race car I converted to sr20det power will remain the only track car and far more fun so is a daily or weekend car

Ok so with caution to the wind, am going to do something a bit different and special with the 5 pot rs3 lump and the rwd 5

Not really going to be in a position to start until after the summer due to house diy to finish and rebuild my garage

Will of course start a proper thread once the 2 key items are in the garage

After having my friends new rs3 the other weekend I think this engine is the right investment

Lol wife gone out with her friends tonight and have kids some bloke tv and phone all I'm doing tonight

Still have to rebuild my garage but engine turned up has raised my enthusiasm. Hope to finish most of the garden works this weekend and can then do garage

Need to rope friends in to help but all goes quiet with talk of hard days graft lol
