Interesting..! Was your uncle a trader by any chance? I tried contacting the then seller a few times for a viewing but without any reply. I then found another v6 instead. :salut:
Nope, it was originally owned by his ex-gf, she was called Jo and then I don't know who they sold it to after. Looking at the photo I have, this was taken back in 2007 and I think they only kept it for a year or two, so would have been sold in 2008-09. So it's actually nine years ago they sold it!
I wish I had bought a TVR 450 SEAC, which was going for £11k, i suspect now, its more like £20k or more, but at the time, i needed a reliable daily car, so bought a Mk3 Golf GTi 150BHP Diesel.
Having missed the opportunity to buy one 14 years ago, would give anything to get my hands on one of these today (sans the Can Can Red interior!), at a reasonable price so that I can drive it: Barn find 911 RSR that has covered 10 km from new!
I'm beginning to see a pattern with your investment decisions especially after your property confessions and it's not good! [smilie=icon_cry.gif]
This 911 did only have 6 miles on it though so that makes your LY V6 high mileage I'm afraid Dulan. You'll have to settle for £58k from Devine Automotive instead

LOL Graeme, high mileage indeed at under 800 miles from new.............
..........but seriously this '911' is not another run-of-the-mill model, but a road-going, race car, factory-built (in 1993), and finding one in 2016/17 with almost no mileage seemed almost impossible to believe. The one I missed in 2002 (at 70K Euros, with 12,000 kms) was a 'high miler' compared to the one sold at auction, and was missed only because I couldn't offload the 2-year-old 986 Boxster S that I had at the time in time! Luckily managed to trade the Boxster S in a year later for a 993RS instead, and bought a 964RS Lightweight 2 years later. The latter has similar DNA to the 3.8 RS, but had a 3.6 litre motor and a slimmer shell, but still is the best road/track car I have owned to date.
Excellent, good to see another member who appears to understand and appreciate Renn Sports models. :approve:
No, I don't have the 993RS anymore. Parted company with it after 11 wonderful years, but used it to its max. It's the 964RS Lightweight that I miss the most though..........both were C00's, and felt privileged to own both at the same time over a 5-year period. Had a 968 Clubsport as well, which was my daily driver for 9 years, so between 2005 & 2009 I was fortunate enough to experience each one, often back-to-back, though it was the 993RS and 968CS that got the most trashing. The 964RS was too good to thrash, which is probably why I miss it the most - the 993RS seemed docile in comparison. Between 2000 and 2014 have had 7 Porsches (road & RS 911's - all 993s except for the 964RS, 968CS & Boxster S - liked S the least) - all were driven, and cherished...........sold up and then moved to Renaultsports and Alfa Romeos (SZ and 105 series GTAm ex-race car), but I do miss having a Motorsport Porsche that I can drive.
Funnily enough if I hadn't sold up I may never have got into a Vee, or Alfas...........
Where are you based, what RS Porsches do you have and what's your Porsche story? Would be great to hear your experiences.
Haven't owned any RSs but plenty of turbos and NA aircooleds. Seems like the general direction most guys go to is the Alfas after Porsche's. I tried to buy a stepnose last night!
Love the quirkiness and styling of the SZ and the elegance of 105s, especially the 'pumped up' look of the GTAm race cars. The Stepnoses are particularly appealing......particular the race-bred GTAs.
