Need a quick fix. one of my MOT failures was because ABS light didn't come on. We removed the bulb ages ago (lol) as it was nearly constantly on. Anyone know any quick fixes to check the ABS and get the light to come on on ignition then go off at start up?
Does anyone have a pin-out diagram of the ABS units. Haynes indicates theres 10pins when infact there is 25!
ABS light stays on from ignition and doesnt go out. Checked all sensors and all seem fine on the multimeter..
went to pick up my new brakes today and the chap in my local motor factors asked does my car have abs . i dont no how can i tell or doesnt it matter . and how easy is it to just change the rear pads as dicses are fine
Basically the abs is more trouble than its worth and i want to get rid of it, want i want to do instead is run new brake lines, and for the back ones run them through the car, through a brake bias valve so i can adjust them without having to stop get out jack it up etc.
i just wanna know if my...

Also have an offside rear abs sensor which is fitted in the phase 3 stub axle as removal would most likely destroy it.
£5...

I have been looking through the search and there isnt much in the help for fault diagnosis.
Haynes is useful as usual.

As the sensors tend to become permanently bonded to the holes in which they fit, I was considering enlarging the hole by 0.5mm.
Hopefully this would prevent sensor removal being a destory the hub/sensor issue in the future.
Can anybody see any issues with doing this?
My battery is a bit fcucked and even when charged isn't turning the engine over. However I think that the ABS pump maybe 'robbing' the battery of starting power when I turn the ignition on. I will be getting a new battery as soon as I can afford it, however I need to get the car onto my new...
