Wanted XR25 cable wanted for 1987 R21 TXE automatic

I have a 1987 R21 TXE automatic. I'm looking to solve a problem with the J7R engine's running. I also have a 1992 Renault Clio Fidji with the carburettored E6J. It is also having a minor issue at the moment.

To help speed up diagnosis of each car's problems I'd really like to get my hands on an XR25 cable. However, I haven't been able to find one any where.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please!? Thanks a lot!

I feared that! I couldn't find one in all the places I saw them when I didn't need one!

try and find someone with an older snap on scanner machine, mines got connectors in for the older renaults( one of the only reasons i keep this machine)

Splendid, thank you - excellent idea. I can buy the connectors on ebay. Which machine do you have? I notice there are loads of keys, a primary cartridge etc. Is it the MT2500 and do you know the key number needed for older Renaults? Thanks in advance.

i have a snap on solus ultra for all the older cars that come in,which i purposely dont have updated. the mt2500 is a very old machine and like you say uses a primary cartridge, the later machines dont use cartridges just manufacturer specific keys( this will be the best route for you), im not sure on the key number but there will be a list of them out there on google somewhere (did have a book from snap on but as usual when you want something its not were its supposed to be)
