Megane Xenon lights height adjuster clicking and poiting too low

Hey all,

I have a weird problem with my 225's xenon lights auto-adjuster. When I turn on the headlights, on one side the auto-adjustment motor raises the lights up and it seems it hits the limit, tries to go even further a bit, that emits a clicking noise a few times and then it goes down a bit. To no surprise of my own, that headlight failed the MOT as it was pointing too low. My question is, why could this be happening? Is something wrong with the motor or the headlight itself?.. Where do I start looking? The other headlight is fine..

If the other side is fine, the level sensors on the axles should be working ok, i would change the motor on the headlamp and check nothing has broken.
