Get it sorted, I will put my car forward for a remap, got a quicksilver exhaust on the way and K&N fitted, I would like it mapped to make the most of the extras.

And me.....defo gonna order the QS when I hear some clips and fitted pics and I also have a K&N so a custom remap to suit my own car would be the next step!

Is the RS tuning mod a remap of the standard ECU, or is it a seperate plug n play chip? If it is a remap, can you remap a superchip?

Just wondering as because I'll be fitting the Quicksilver exhaust and my BMC (again), I would like an ecu that takes these mods into account.

Hi Guys, the remap is done on the stock ECU and any mods can be taken into account although only major mods will need alterations. If anyone is willing to supply their car and some time for testing please email me at [email protected]

Cheers

Paul

Out of interest, how do you remap the stock ECU? With a piggyback chip? Or do you permanently alter the std chip's mapping?

Can you reset the std ECU back to normal once the mod has been done?

The original software is read from the ECU then modded and loaded back to the ECU.

The ECU can be returned to original.

How easy is it to swap the ECUs? Can the customer do it or does it have to be returned to you?

For the remap we are offering here there is no replacement ECU so the stock unit is not disturbed. To go back to standard the car would have to come back to us.

Paul

Yes but the safest way will be for us to remove the ECU and pull the chip off so we can match up to another original file. Takes longer but not a problem. It would also be possible providing you had your customer key and we could source the required original map.

Cheers

Paul

Cool. My car is running fine with the superchip, but I have a customer key and I wouldn't rule out a remap as I reckon the remap could squeeze out a few more horses.
