Hi guys, i'm new on here but have been concentrating on the new Megane 225 remap. As above really as it's about time we see how much power and torque can really be released :D

Back to back rolling road testing will be done on a Dyno Dynamics dyno.

Obviously the first of each will be heavily discounted to cover costs

Any takers feel free to PM me or email me at info(at)rstuning.co.uk

Cheers

Paul

This post is confusing.....the title suggests you want to test for a new remap for the 230 and 255 V6......then the body text is advertsing the Megane?

Unfortunately most people on here drive either a MK1 or MK2 V6 (and consider the Megane an Ugly Duckling, but thats beside the point) so maybe try over at Cliosport or on the main Renaultsport forum under the Megane Section.....should generate some interest there?

Personally if you had a decent remap for the V6 we'd all be interested!!

I think he is saying that he has finished concentating on the megane but he is now looking to do remaps for the V6.

Welcome to v6clio.net Paul.

Your Megane remap sounds very impressive indeed.

"We are currently offering a remap for all Megane 225 Models which takes the car from 222BHP to a massive 267BHP with an extra 60nm Torque!"

Bore Me. Com has better jokes than this - 222bhp to 267bhp just with a remap of the standard ECU.
The only way to prove it is to post before and after dyno prints.
IMO Scott at Renaultcliov6.com is the only forum member on here who has the guts to post his before and after results.

I would have thought that a 20% increase (45bhp) on a Turbo engine would be possible and quite easy, where as our Vees would find it alot more expensive....damn I need a Turbo again....lol

Simon

Yes.....turbo engines show great gains whether its a diesel or petrol. My 150 GTTDI PD Gold is remapped to 220......easy peasy!

Correct! I'll post up some power graphs so everyone can have a look. I'd be expecting between 10-20 hp from the v6 and hopefully 15-20lbft ish.
Sorry for any confusion about the megane and the main development has now finished hence moving onto the v6.

Cheers

It must be true because I read about it in 'The Sun'.

No...it actually is. Look at Superchips or any other chippy website for other examples.

Turbo engines are soooo much easier to tune than NA....FACT.

So when you fit a turbo diesel in your V6 let us know.
Probably a good idea for you to to save money as well.
I heard that half the cars in the Province are running on red diesel!

None of those comments are true...

Why would I want to fit a turbo diesel in my V6...thats just being silly. I have my Turbo diesel golf if and when I want to drive it.
Maybe you need to relax.

This thread is about remaps for the V6. The guys have clearly stated their gains for the Megane which has a turbo. I have no reason to doubt them as I'm sure they aren't selling their product to customers without RR tests and before and after power graphs.

I shouldn't have to but I'll say again and I believe everyone else is in agreement, that TURBO cars give better and easier gains in Torque and power.....

Lets not turn this into a catfight. Its a discussion forum. If you want to argue visit that other ClioSport forum...

Peace.

Those are Fly figures, so 172 as standard seems spot on. 185 odd after is a fair enough gain...

James.....Steeper Red and blue curves are the before and after at the flywheel power figures and the flatter red and blue curves are the standard torque at the fly figures. You'll see the peak of the steeper red curve is approx 170BHP which is spot on for the 182 although still a bit low ....thats more a 172 graph I would have expected to see.

^^ Cheers for explaining. We have just had another 182 on a different road which produced 186 Prior to mapping and 200 after!
Just shows how different some roads can be although it may be possible as the car had a Janspeed Cat, Hillpower Bend, Blueflame System and a viper. Still the gains are shown no matter where you go.

Cheers

Paul
