last year the cheapest i could get insured on the v6 was £1900 (would be about £1600 if i paid yearly instead of monthly)
I was 23 with 3years NCB

Now a year on im 24 and 4years NCB ive been getting new quotes from £560 - £650 from a few companies.

From £150 a month to £55 a month, VERY HAPPY

Mine's due next week, along with the wife's car too, and so I was doing my typical shopping around last night. I'm old, and keep getting older obviously. I've got no points and no claims, and neither has the missus. We live in a good postcode. Yet of course year-on-year rather than going down prices keep going up! Grrr :livid:

Which companies are these. I'm trying to do mine and cheapest i've had is £1229.70. I'm 26, clean records, car is garaged, tracked (also add in a garage that if it is broken into my alarm will alert the police!) and i'm just not getting anywhere. Only doing 3000miles a year. It says something i can get the exige insurance cheaper with 1yrs no claims as opposed to the 5 on the vee.

It's all about the postcode. If you're saddled with a high risk one it immediately renders anything else about your history or personality completely irrelevant. I think actuaries have got it completely wrong

Unfortunately my post code ain't the best, and was getting quotes for about £1200, 29 8yes ncb, but then privilege popped up with £800 with 8k miles allowance - bruceybonus

When I had my clio v6 it was my first car at 20 and cost 1500 1 year later I think I paid about 700 sadly sold the clio after 4years happy and problem free motoring
