Can't find anything on the forum about it.

Sorting out which wishbone to order looks like a nightmare!

But the problem is the new ones have a pinch bolts, but the original on the car apparently the bolts are threaded.Gotta say these cars are a nightmare

You have bought a complete wishbone and they come with a balljoint. This is a 172/182 part and you have to remove it and replace it with a V6 balljoint (I know, i've just done it). The V6 specific balljoints are another hundred quid each, on top of the £80-odd for the wishbone so thats £200 a side to get the right items. They are also sided so you need to order two different part numbers to make a pair.

Luckily I have a 172 that the spare balljoints were very useful for :)

Wishbones, which come with the WRONG balljoints for a phase one are
8200737112
8200737114

The right balljoints for the wishbones **for a CB1A** are
6020010353
6020010816

CB1U is showing different P/N for the balljoints so be careful, I don't know what phase of car you have.
6020011532
6020011533

Ballpoints are different for phase 1 and 2 but Dave is correct, phase 2 ball joints create the modified offset to increase the track by 10 mm :approve:

Are the phase 2 ones the ones that angle forward? How do phase 1 ones differ?

I have the angled-forward ones on my car.

Angled forward are phase 2, so as you will see both sides different. :approve:

Good good, bloody glad I bought them when I did then. Looks like we're going to have to fab up some rose joint style ones going forward!
