i was just compairing the 1.8 engine in my clio to the williams engine i have and noticed that on the 1.8 the oil filter bolts strait onto the block and on the williams there is a sandwich plate ( i think thats what u call it ) with two pipes goin round the engine to the front

any ideas what this is for ?

thanks

Yeh its an oil cooler, Some valvers didnt come with it, although i have only worked on one without a cooler so must be rare to find them without in my neck of the woods!

valver engines never had oil coolers as standard it was only the williams :)

Thats a lie Matt, three out of my four valver engines all had oil coolers and so has my williams

Just uses the sanwhich plate, you need a few different coolant hoses to plumb it in though (if your converting a valver without one)
