williams ecu

hmmm, well iv been doin a serious amount of wiring to my williams, simplyfying and removing wires and relays, i wnat to seperate the ecu from all other looms,

i crqcked open the ecu, but was confused to how many live inputs there are too it, does anyone have a wiring diagram of the ecu, or have any idea which are the lives upto the ecu??? i found one red wire with green stripe but this does not seem to eb traced back to any relay or feed from the dash loom, nor the relays or fusebox within the engine compartment

im going to be putting the ecu on a separate switch witch will feed all the +12v live inputs to it

any help will be most obliged

there is only one live going to the ecu its called the 'battery' in my info tho, i am assuming it is the battery as there are other pins listed as earth. also the info on this pin says that with the engine off there should be 11-14 volts running through it, defo implying battery. it is pin number 4, which yopu can find if you have taken the ecu plug apart as they are all numbered on the plastic casing. if you haven't taken it apart you can find it by looking at the plug with the cable in your right hand and the plug extending towards your left. if your looking at the sockets in this position then it is the 4th one in from the right on the bottom row. i have my valver loom apart at the moment and the colour of this wire is red with a grey trace. i checked on my info and the pin for the willy ecu is in the same place as the valver one. hope this helps.

haha, thats what i fough i originally bought the willy 1 to destroy (replacemnt for my 5 raider track car)

but i just couldnt do it..........

so i bought teh 2 haha

hmmm intresting theres actually a few white with grey stripes......tho one that also catch my eye...was a single white, with a woven insualting sheath on it...going to teh starter (although i havent unwrapped all the loom tape as of yet)

so from my first presumptions i fought this would be the main live, and then there would be a swicthing live aswell....

when you say engine off, does this mean, engine not running with ignition on, or ignition off key removed from barrel etc?
