Which engine oil?

My engine oil needs topping up after having a new starter motor fitted, unsure of which oil to use (Scott was the last to change it). Any recommendations.

Rather than start another thread I hope you don't mind me asking this here as the thread is only a few days old:
Is there any particular brand of 5W-40 Fully synthetic oil that is recommended more than others? Renault changed it for me last time and used Mobil-1 but I was wondering if there were any brands that performed better than others?

For the Vee I stick to Fuchs Titan Race Pro S 5W-40 - Opie Oils do good deals on a regular basis.......

Excellent, I am glad you said that as that is what I ordered last night through OPIE using the club discount code. I was going to wait for replies here but thought I would just go for it as I had used it in my 172. Thanks for replying though, it makes me more happy with my choice .
