Wheel refurb...

Kett

Active Member
I'm running on a set of powder coated black Mk II rims at the moment. My original set of OEM Mk II alloys were sadly discoloured.
I seem to remember reading of some thread that the OEM wheel has two colours. Can anyone confirm this?
Perhaps I should simply "cut" the paint with T-cut, but would I need to get them re-lacquered?

Hi Kett,

Yes, when I had my wheels refurb'd the guy informed me that Renault show 2 colours on their data base. Sadly i've no idea what they are, or which mine were painted in. Mine to look 'flatter' than some 255's though. I have noticed however, that the wheels on late 255's are far brighter!!
I actuallt quite like the colour of mine, as they seem to match the side pods a little better. Though that wont matter you in the slightest i'd imagine.. lol
Got ya name down for some meets yet fella..? :D

Thanks for that info Shaun. :approve:
It's going to be a busy year for me at work and at home, my "free Vee time" might get absorbed with visiting Scott for cambelt and trophy coil upgrade.
I will try for WSR and will arrange a few local meets. :D
