what other wheels fit?

New Member
I'm looking to get my wheels refurbed and would prefer not to have it sat on the drive on axle stands for a while...

Has anyone had other wheels on, if even just to sit the car down? Won't be driven. Brake clearance and inner arch being the issues I imagine.

5 stud Laguna? Visit to your local scrappy?

Correct and readily available. They also fit very well on Clio 197/200’s.

Yep - these.

I've got a couple of sets (Pro race 1.2 in 5*108), one cherry red and one white.

I must try that this weekend! I have a spare set of Clio 3 Cup racing car wheels. Looks very similar to those Laguna wheels but 8” wide and with ET68 offset.

Clio 3 uses 14mm wheel bolts though so I wouldn’t want to drive the v6 on Clio 3 wheels for long distance.

Offset is OK for the rear but you'll need HUGE spacers for the front, I had to use 15mm spacers for the above 17's that are 7.5x17 et35

Do any other Laguna wheels fit?

I'll be in a similar position soon and like the OP I'll only need the wheels for the car to sit on whilst the standard wheels are refurbished so suggestions of changing PCD or buying TDs is completely out of the question

The problem you have is that most 5*108 stud Renault's use the same offset front to rear. The V6 has a HUGE difference front to rear (on the phase 2 its 6 front, 68 rear), so where Megane or Mk3 Cliosport wheels would slap straight on the back at a high offset (I think they are 63 or 68), on the front you need to space that out to get down to a 6 offset. I got around it by using 35mm offset wheels, so at the back they were effectively spaced out by 35mm (but without a spacer), slightly compensated by it being a 7.5J and smaller tyre....at the front I used a 20mm spacer so 35mm offset + 20mm spacer = an offset of 15mm which again I got away with as the rim/tyre combo was thinner (7.5J, 215/45/17)

I didnt buy a set of wheels just for this either, they were an old set off the 21, one of which has had a crack repair...they are just a set of rims for stuff like this.

Think you mean offset not pcd (pitch circle diameter!)

Sorry I don't have the foggiest what any of that means!

I just wondered if other Laguna wheels would fit for the purpose of wheeling the car out of a garage and back in again. The ones posted above are one example but I wondered if there were any others that would fit the spec

Duh, was typing while on a conference call, serves me right for not concentrating. Edited.
