In my engine bay of my megane 3 (2010 1.6 petrol) I found this unplugged (see image) it looks like it is under the battery tray is it’s home, I’m having an issue with the fan not spinning so maybe it’s that?

Looking at the car the plug is between the battery and passenger headlight and looks like it goes underneath the tray!

I would guess this to be either a blanking connector as Dave said, sometimes these are used to blank a connector that is not used due to vehicle spec but the harness is the same across spec levels…
Or, it maybe what I call a Header Joint which is basically like a blanking connector but creates a short circuit within that connector to create shared feeds/Earths/network connections for the harness it is connected onto.
But I have no experience of these Renault harness’s!
