water dripping on rear head rests

I've discovered that there's water coming out behind the trim that covers the nuts for the rear hatch.. removing said trim reveals quite some rust, unfortunately, but that's no wonder if there's moisture trapped in there :-(

It's not coming in through the hatch gutter since there's no holes or rust there, and I don't think it's from the sunroof either, as it seems dry.. Now I wonder if it's common that water is coming in between the rear washer and the roof or maybe the washer itself is leaking washing fluid?

How is the washer removed? Do I just pull it up?

I think it has to be turned to one side and then up but wait for confirmation of this as they can be quite brittle

Had the same problem when my rear washer was removed completely from the hole and hose was somewere inside the body. But it was not leaking until you apply rear washer and some water goes out of that small hose. So it realy could be this issue.

he means the sunroof, this is an option.

however the seam where the roof panel brace thing goes can leech water under the tailgate seal and drip water out of the trim onto the rear seats, my red hatch is doing that and my old 1.4 done it and it had no sunroof.

hmm... not sure i fully understand you, chris.. where would the water get through from the outside then?

are there more than 2 drains for the sunroof (slide/tilt style) ? I can only see 2 at the front and they work very well (tested using the garden hose), also for water coming in at the rear of the sunroof opening..

I've attached a photo which shows the rust/where the water's dripping from..
