Water /anti freeze in the exhaust....

I had a new cyl head fitted as the other one went AWOL, but I have just been out testing it and its smoking (white) nasty stinky anitfreeze like my car is on fire every time I lift off the accellerator, really embarressing! :? as u can imagine ever other road user thinking is a f7cked engine and shouldnt be on the road, even tho its been completely rebuilt and like new.

Anyways... my ques.... how long does it take to burn off all this water thats collected in the zorst? it was losing a lot before the cyl head crack was found.... :roll: and what is the fastest way of burning it off? I dont think I can just let the car idle and burn it off as there is no smoke until its being driving and going 'down' the gears de-accellerating mainly.

Just want to get this sorted as I have had someone hooting me ealier with it smoking... any helpful tips on the fastest way to burn this off? (and it stinks inside the car out as well with the smoke creaping in everywhere!)

you sure the turbos not pumping coolant into the exhaust?

if it really is just coolant from the exhaust either take the exhaust off and empty it or you have to drive it and drive it hard to get it hot enough. letting it idle will add more water to the problem.

Thanks for the tip mate! I dont have the tools at home to empty it out myself... but I am pretty sure its left over coolant as it stinks of it and I have checked the header tank when I got in and its still topped up fine and all my temp gauges are fine.

As its dark now...I think its a good time to go and burn it off... I dont normaly drive it hard...which is also not helping...its only running standard boost whilst I am running in the new head (not butchering it from the start)

Thanks... I'll pop out and try and go on a good long run and get it hot as I can to burn that out... how long (many miles) do u reckon it will take?

Yep, i'm not sure how much is in there.. just went for a long'ish drive for a few hrs. Not sure it helped much as I wasnt ragging it around. If I wasnt paying for the petrol I would have done over 100 miles.. only filled it up this morning... what a waste of money.. i might try and empty the water out of the zorst after all at the weekend. Ta.
