Washer Not Working.

Having always taken the vee to a specialist i think this job i could do. Anyone know how to take the vee apart to get the the washer bottle, its got fluid, the pump is going however noting sprays, thinking i have something trapped, ideas??

Not something I've done myself, but something I've watched be done on mine multiple times. Fundamentally a case of taking off the wiper arms (which have a fiddly sprung fit of some sort) and then unclipping the black plastic valance to get access (which has annoying plastic pop rivets). Whether you need to remove the bottle then is a function of how small your hands are!

The reason why I've seen it done, is because the pumps are rubbish and I've had 2 x washer and 2 x headlight washer go over the last ten years. Reckon the impellers become detached from the motor shaft, so that the motor runs but nothing pumps.

Mine went the same way a couple of years ago, you need a new washer pump they are cheap enough from somewhere like Europarts.

You actually don't need to take the wipers off as you can access the washer bottle by jacking the car up and removing the front nearside wheel and wheel arch liner, however you do need quite small hands and a fair bit of patience as space is a bit tight doing it this way !!!!

Nice little job to do yourself, just remember to order a wiper arm puller makes life so much easier ;)
As Andy mentioned above remove wipers, plastic scuttle panel, unbolt wiper arms / mechanism to remove washer bottle. Also, order a couple of pumps as it makes sense to repłace both at the same time ( one for windscreen wash and other for lights )
Have a search on CS as they have a guide on 'how to'' ;)

Had to resort to a garage, washer pump fitted and working. Now engine management light on, and classic symtopms of my first coil failure!

Some screen wash has something that can increase it's thickness (eventually to a jelly like substance) if it's not used often.
Sometimes you can get away with topping it up with water, give it a good stir and pressurising it slightly (put your mouth over it securely and blow) while pressing the washer. That's assuming you can get to the cap (which I can't remember on a Vee)!

Just had both my washers mechanisms replaced - both screen and headlamp pumps working but no water jets due to failed system cost (parts, labor and screen wash) circa £150.

I've just replaced both pumps on mine...just a heads up, a number plate search showed two different pumps required for my car (ph2), and Renault list them at £30+ and £40+ depending on which you want...one has a straight pickup, and one a 90 degree pickup. Both are shared part by Renault, Citroen and Peugeot and available aftermarket for between £12 - £15.
As Russo says, go the whole hog and remove all the wiper gubbins following cliosports "how to" and remove the washer bottle, because this revealed that both pumps were the 90 degree type (so not as per the microfiche) and would have been an absolute pig to locate properly with the bottle in place, also saving your knuckles, temper and blood pressure!!!You can also give the bottle a good flush out at the same time for peace of mind.
There are some fixes on Reno forums taking the pumps to bits and trimming various seals, however mine had stopped working altogether due to the motor housing being full of rusty water!...and for what they cost new, not worth the hassle.
The wiper arm puller is a definite though.
Happy tinkering...!

My washer pump was replaced last year by SG Motorsport as it lost power and wouldn't pass the MOT. Scott fitted an after market pump that failed after a month of use (it would not change from front to rear windscreen washing). He then fitted a genuine item which is about £15 more expensive but has never failed.

Basically I recommend using OEM for this part!
