Wanted - Le Car 2 'Gordini' Wheels

New Member
Hi All,
I'm after a set of four (preferably five) Le Car 2 type 'Gordini' steel wheels to put on my R4 GTL that is being de-GTL'd. Its a silver one thats having all the older chrome bits put on like 68 on ally grille, chrome bumpers, French style number plates, yellow bulbs etc and a set of Gordini wheels in black and deep silver would look a treat!

I'm told the wheelnuts are specific for them so I need those, and I'd love to get a set with centre caps too. I'm realising this is quite a big ask as they have got quite rare now, so if you have anything from rough but restorable to excellent (with or without tyres) that you think might be of interest please let me know on 07765 713967, by pm or the.snail.shed(at)hotmail.co.uk...

Thanks!

Hi, I've got a le car2 turbo, but need the wheels, but thought you might like to know that the centre caps are still available from renault in case you do buy some with the caps missing.

cheers - Stuart

ps there is some rather expensive ones for sale on ebay.fr

I have a really nice used set or a brand new set.... it all depends how much you willing to pay. I might have nuts too

if we are talking about the the wheels with the fins all the way around the rim i have a set of 4 which are in need of referb 3 have centre caps

Hi All, thanks for the offers. As in the first post the set I want are the steel rims so no cast alloy wheels. I want a set of the mild steel pressed rims fitted to the Mark 1 R5 Le Car 2. Not the turbo performance versions, just the plain basic R5 version that has some stick on decals with Le Car2 written on them... I've now found a photo attached of the type I'm after if this helps.

Regards

Nic

Re: Wanted - Amil Alloys

Hi All,
I'm still after some of the pressed steel wheels as above but if I can't find them I was also tempted to fit a set of the Amil alloys that were fitted to various mk1's (TX's I think). If anybody has a set of these in restorable upwards condition with the specific wheelnuts (and centre caps and tyres if possible) then PM me or call / text me on 07765 713967. Picture added so you know which type I mean...

i know a guy who has the TL fergats you need.
they are not as wide as the gordini ones.

call Forresta on 07944 000 364

Hi Sparkie, Thanks for this, I'll give him a call and see if I can sort something out with him...

I mentioned to him on saturday that you were looking for the wheels. Mention sparkie sent you.

Cheers, I tried calling and left a voicemail on the number you gave. I'll see if he responds tomorrow or I'll try again. Stupid thing is its hardly important. The car is sat out in the shed with a duff head gasket (precisely 1 month after the start of my tenure) and I'm ignoring that and hunting out shiny bits instead! Thats my I love classic cars
