Looks like a little attention is needed to the gear level cover, but looks in fantastic shape and amazing to see a 1 owner car.

Sad to read about the death of the owner, Mr. Tobert sounds like a bit of a hero to of brought one of these new at 73.

"29000 Miles. Bereavement Sale. NO 24. Purchased by Mr Geoff Tobert, a pioneer in the Motor Boat Industry, at the Age of 73 from Renault London West, and kept by him until his death in September 2012. IMMACULATE CONDITION THROUGHOUT, Full Renault Service History, fully documented with ALL invoices. Last service under 200 miles ago Cambelt and water pump at Renault. Original bill of sale invoice and all MOTs. Paperwork and photos from Senior engineer Mike Flewitt (Now Mclaren) showing pictures of the car at the TWR build facility in Uddevalla, Sweden. Original Autocar road test magazine and "Clio V6 Story" book present to Flewitt by Christian Contzen - Director General of Renault Sports.
FRSH, A/C, Remote central locking (Both keys) Pirelli P Zero tyres all round, New Battery, Original Stereo with CD Multistack. Upgraded Mintex C Tech Brake Pads and Janspeed 497 Centre and back system.
This Car is just how you would want it to be. Original and Fastidiously maintained. No timewasters, test pilots or turkeys. First to see will Buy. "

Wow. Some history.

Worth every penny. I wonder if TWR made the calipers Red if he was an old boy doubt he would do it.... also looks like the gear cover just needs pulled up perhaps.

Nice find

Does look nice :approve:

First owner of my car died and passed it on to his best friend (both in their 80s) who eventually traded it in for an AMG Merc, certainly does give a bit of confidence that the car will never have been thrashed.

Sad to hear about the owner.

Seems like a very clean car indeed, great condition, well maintained with a service history to match.

It's done some miles for a couple of old boys as owners ( can't see them doing them miles in it ) don't seem right to me , got to be more to the story than that

That and the red calipers? Maybe he just had taste and loved driving! 73 isn't THAT old really. Really good to see prices going up again though, seems like a trend!

The chap was spotted various times around the country, he was given a club flyer, but I guess he wasn't too bothered about internet stuff.

RIP

Could have driven loads, my friends dad still racing bikes at that age and his mate does vintage hillclimbs at 80+ yrs..

Same as my car's original number plate bar the last letter :). As said sad news about the owner, but hopefully it will find a good home.

29k in 12 yrs, really?

I bet he smiled every mile driving it

A mate of mine has driven his Carrera GT 35,000 miles over 4 years since new and part exchanged it in only to get another in a different colour ! That's now on 40,000 miles !!
He smiles non-stop !!!

Drive them I say

Mega respect for the original owner, buying one of these at 73 years old. I cant imagine my dad doing the same, he`s more into his old skoda diesel & slippers!!!

Looks like a good clean example too.

Wow great find i hope who ever gets this one takes great care of it........i would have bought it if i saw it a year ago before i bought number 23 ....

Old boys can still drive, Stirling Moss, John surtees etc and we all got to go sometime. Still good to see a nice vee. Let's hope it gets a good new home.

What a fantastic buy for someone.............fingers crossed it's someone on here that buys.

it is! number 24 is now mine.
first impressions: fantastic history, looks awesome and sounds even better. Seats are ridiculously high and the steering wheel is horrible.
