v6 for a S1 (Exige kit) Elise

I have owned 2 vx220's the second one was the turbo and couldn't be faulted with its blistering quick pace. I took it on a track day and ate elises for breakfast. I have also owned an exige 220 s in aspen white. It was the best bit of kit I have owned and nothing could live with the pace and agility. I have now moved onto the vee and love it to bits. It's extremely rare, practical for day to day stuff, comfortable and has enough power to give u that buzz when the road opens up. Not to mention the sweet sounding v6. I'm not saying don't buy a lotus, because I think everyone should experience the agility and handling of one and I'd have my exige back tomorrow but for total uniqueness and to stand out from the crowd, the vee is one hell of a looker and a total future classic.

I think the Vee will be more of a collectors item in the future and will obviously be more rare but for turning heads I find the Elise wins hands down, I think you need to be pretty committed to the car to use it as a daily driver but there is no reason why it cant be done.

I genuinely couldn't think of anything worse that driving a lotus everyday! But on the flip-side i can't think of many cars i'd rather drive more on the "right" day then an Exige, be it N/a or S/c.

An exige bodies Elise?! Wouldn't interest me tho!

Ha ha. Elise turns more heads than a V6. Two hopes of that - Bob and no.

I must admit the Exige looks very good, but even it is not a patch on a V6.
Normal Elise's are ten a penny and look pretty dated nowadays. The V doesn't.

Could say exactly the same about your bold statement about your current car.
It is natural to defend your current driver.

It is one thing to say the Elise is a better drivers car than than the V (no-one will argue on that count), but to say an Elise hands down turns more heads is hugely far fetched.

Wow serious thread derail going on here but no one is telling lies and no one is wrong or right because what you're all talking about is opinion. Fortunately there's no standard, objective, measure of Car Awesomeness (CA) or Head Turning Power (HTP) so you are all right.

V6 HTP != Elise HTP != V6HTP etc

and for those assuming some bias on my behalf psychologically expressed :

Elise HTP != v6HTP != Exige HTP etc

Whether people look at one more than the other I can't say, but personally I've seen so many Elises on the road that I rarely look at them more than a glance.
However I suspect that you notice people looking more when you drive an open top car.
