I was pleased to see some of the Vees at Mas Du Clos wearing the "Special" wheels.

I didn't even know about the 'special wheels' until they were pointed out and then there seemed to be loads of them ! I think Brett started to drool a bit too

Martin

Often seems to be the case with Renault, if you want the specials you're better off going to France and buying the car. The brochure promises fail to materialise.

Very discreet difference on these wheels - which i like, BUT it had to be actually pointed out to me that they had more spokes!! Whoops!!

Not too convinced on the cleaning side of things though, the original's are bad enough!! LOL

yes there was 2 cars there on the 20 spoke wheels..

thats what prompted me to post the photo of the yellow vee..

i really like them...

i'll need to keep my eyes peeled

hang on mate, you already have the holy grail, why do you even look at other wheels?

Stevo might be planning to buy a MK 2 and have the much better suited special wheels on it, keep the Catalunya for show days?

lol. mark i really like the trophy wheels its just they seem a little common at meets..lol

i must say though they do suit the ph1 down to a tee..

I can't be the only one that thinks the OEM wheels are the nicest wheels about...Nicer than the above, nicer than the Trophy wheels! :S Thats not jealousy talking! Genuinely think the V6 is perfect looking in std form

I agree the 18 inch oem wheels are perfect for the vee :)

TBH I do like trophy wheels but have no burning desire to change, and think they suite a modified car anyway ...

Martin

OEM wheels are a good style choice for the Vee considering it was a few years ago now. The trophy wheels were made more to fit a purpose rather than too much effort going into style I should think. Even on trophies the mag wheels suit the MK 1 better.(IMO)

The bling "special" wheels are that bit more special looking and suit a MK 2 nicely.

On the MK 2 I am tempted to have the mag wheels or OEM wheels finished in Titanium with matching pods and door mirror caps. :)

some side by side.

i found this pic months ago and wondered what they were, were they an option from the factory in france then?

i prefer the standard wheels on a mk2, but trophys on a mk1!!

stunning....

"Highly personalized Clio V6 models
Renault Sport now gives customers the opportunity to personalize their
Clio New Clio V6 with a choice of special colours, trim and features. A
whole range of colours is available. Sirius Yellow, Callisto Brown and
Lune Grey are all special-effect colours, with the colour changing
depending on the angle at which the light falls on the surface. Special
alloy wheels complete the range of choices
.

Never saw any UK cars with them on or even a price listed. (I expect the were extra ££)

just seen a set of these for sale, looks like they could do with a refurb & missing centre caps.

keenley priced, about £380 with current exchange rate, but way down in the south of france.

Don't tell Brett

Damn, nice find

As a set of cromodoras will probably never, EVER become available again, these could be a nice alternative!
