If anyone wants to keep it original I have a pair of nearly new Pilot Sport 2's on ebay at the moment:

Approx 7mm all round. At least 6mm even at the lowest point. Worn perfectly evenly. No sign of puncture repairs or sidewall damage. Bought as spares for my blue or red vees which are now sold. Still packaged up from when I bought them.

No problem to find the rears anywhere.
