i'm toying with going for toyo proxses again on the vee,

in the past i've had them and was pretty impressed, soft grippy tyres which give good feel on the limit...

i was impressed with verdestein tires too....

anyone tried any others...

Falkens???
goodyear??
maragonnis??
pirelli??

all advice is good cheers :)

There is a great thread somewhere for what people prefer tyre wise and Falken 452's keep popping up!

I just had some fitted on the rear and they feel great!! Alot of grip. I am not sure how long they last etc.. As I have never had then before but they seem a favorite and a good choice!

I've got falken FK452's on the front and can't fault them, will definatly be getting the same on the back soon

Yep, two real choices and both are on a par if not better than the overpriced Michelin tyres:

Falken FK452 - Great tyre, good life, although takes a few hundred miles to take the edge off and they become a LOT more grippy.

Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta - simply AWESOME value for money, stick to the road like glue. Fitment sizes may present an issue on a v6 though. It is likely that it is a slightly softer compound than the Falken so probably has a shorter life (although someone may want to look into that to confirm).

The Toyo Proxe has traditionally had a weakish tyre wall so isn't great on the limit, whether that has been rectified I don't know.

I've personally used Falkens and can't fault them over the Michelins.

I put Falken 912's on the Toyota this time after having Falken 452's ... I like the 452 very much but I also like to try other tyres and I read about the the 912 and they have good reviews for wet handling so I will see ... I will be going 452 on the back of the Vee in the next couple of weeks.
