Alright tubbers, if anyone comes on to site? (Where is everyone, this is excellent to have our own T1/2 forum) I have some items for sale.

Fabricated intercooler with spun and swaged inlets and 95mm core, all bosses in place - £750

Carbon fibre intercooler duct, machined alloy pin and carbon brackets, standard replacement - £250

As a complete kit - £900

I have 2 intercoolers left and may be having some larger core versions made shortly.

Turbo 1 dark blue dashboard leather trim ready to fit (brand new) and 2 further full hides of material, mail to discuss cost.

Various other items that may be sold as I progress and I will update on this site.

Help me? Has anyone got any pictures of turbo 1's with beige and aqua green trim combination so I can send sample colour to sellers domain? Need a good condition parcel shelf....please.

Just joined the forum and saw this old post. I just picked up this T1 with the interior you are looking for. Did you get the carpet matched? I plan on renewing the headlining and the sun visors.

I think this is a lovely T1 :) looks like a really good car and all nice and together. We spoke on Facebook but I had not seen the close up shots but yes that is the same carpet although in much nicer condition than mine was. I was surprised at the lack of people knowing about this trim colour and even 'selliers domain' did not have a good alternative and I thought they would be the 1st port of call.
I have sold my T1 now and have a T2 only which is beige trim but this is due for a change I think. Love to see some more pics when you get it delivered and settled in.

I think that this is one of the nicest turbo's I have seen :) I am not a fan of the gotti rims I prefer the other gotti's (75A) but that's me being picky otherwise its an absolute gem, just looks right and very well kept.

Where did you find it? How much did you pay? Genuinely interested.

I started looking for a T2 a little over a year ago. They don't come up for sale that often in the US. First car I looked at was in Quebec, Canada. Found it through this site. Bringatrailer.com

It was a nice car, but not what I wanted. Around the same time another T2 came up for sale only a few miles away from me.

I would have grabbed this but someone had already been given first refusal. It was the owner of this car who told me that the T1 may be for sale. After speaking to the owner of the T1, I flew out to California to see it in January. The owner had it from new and it was imported legally by Sun International. He had been the President of the R5 Turbo club in the US and was very knowledgeable about the cars. I really didn't think he was going to part with it, but eventually we struck a deal. I also bought a large stock of parts that he had.

As for the price paid, it was around 40,000 pounds.

From my research, I don't think there were more than 250 T2's imported into the US and less than 20 T1's. I feel very lucky to have found this car.

You bought the right car. :) the blue one is not great and the Quebec car was alright with some nice bits on such as the cevennes top wishbones but the T1 is much nicer. If you wish to part ever you should try me :) was it from mike?

I bought the car from Bill Dickinson who is well known in the US R5 world. The car is still in California waiting to be shipped over to New York. Had some problems with the transport company so it will be another week before it's here. Apparently the carpets have faded to the light green colour and were originally blue/grey. I will check once the car is back and I look under the seat. Selliers Du Domain have sent me samples of the carpet colour so it looks like I will be completely re carpeting it.

Neil that carpet looks very good and selliers domain do not appear to supply a similar ply as was fitted in period but a much cheaper alternative. The colour is not a faded blue/grey but the correct aqua colour! I went through the same procedure when I looked into re-trimming mine. I have the original specification book that clearly states aqua/beige trim and looking at yours compared to mine it has really not faded much at all.
Yours looks in such good original condition I would keep it and be proud :)

I am after a Turbo 1 dashboard can you help?

Kind regards Olly.

Finally got confirmation that the car will be on the transporter on Monday next week. The previous owner confirmed that the carpets had never been cleaned so I'll give them a good shampoo and see how they look after. I did get a bunch of samples from Selliers and you are right about the quality. I'm sure I could find a closer match over here.

Try these people for the dashboard.

Thanks, interesting site although a bit dubious about the quality it must be worth a look :)

I have for sale:

Garat/3S 4-1 manifold in Cevennes/Tour De Course style without wastegate. Brand new and unused don't confuse this with multi piece primary pipes that fail under turbo heat I tried to replicate these using UK builders but failed due to the tooling cost being so high it was not cost viable. The French builders must have original manufacture equipment from the RenaultSport era.

£1050 to cover costs
