I know what you're thinking Mike, but I won't take the bait...........not until I've got a clever answer.......

Tim,
Am i one of the dopes???!!!!
Ive spent a lot, however a lot less than some of you?????? [smilie=bowdown.gif]
I also love my car it has slightly wider exhaust pipes which is better for my personal and intimate moments with the car!!! [smilie=icon_chef.gif]
However i believe we are now entering the zone of "mine is bigger than yours!" which i would prefer to decline from.
Tim

Hi guys, well u`ve all heard mine is the best, but mine must be a very good example, one owner from poole, the vee was ordered and i beleive with out looking at the paper work again the guy had to wait for about a year before he took delivery.. most the miles where done in the early years, in fact itsonly done 1,500 of its 16,000miles in the last five years. and not a mark on it inside or out. Anyway as we all know the looks we get in these cars is well almost STOP FCKING LOOKING AT ME, But then the women awww the question as you peop seem good for a laugh and joke di any of yous meet regular and if so where im in east sussex Hastings, any thing on the cards ????

so with regard to evo's u all think the vee is a better car? Dont get me wrong i loved my vee but missed hving a evo so i went back to them.

Build quality- jap so better
BHP- alot alot more
Tuneability- better cos its turbo
Handling- 4wd so enough said
practicability- 4 doors and boot and 5 seats

looks- depends what ur looking for. i prefer evo but i can see why v6 is close.

dont think running cost etc really come into question when ur talking about a second car as it covers very few miles. Anyway i dont want to get into a 'my cars faster than your arguement. I'm just pointing out that there are many better cars out there. This includes better cars than mine too.

just love starting these debates cos this ones like comparing an orange with lunar dust

Or a completely compromised 2 seater with a 4 door family car

Or the tunability of an N/A 3 litre with a turbo 4 pot capable of 800 horses,

and the handling on an Evo's so controlled its like cheating physics rather than going round other cars so it doesn't count as a real car!!!!!!

I nearly put a Mitsy engine in the Clio in the early days - should I have I wonder!

Back to work

Contencious New Year

Mike

A up Dom :D

Your probably on a loosing battle here mate as you are taking on the tuning big boys and this club is a wee bit one sided if you get me :winky:

I have always wanted an EVO but just lusted after a Vee more.

There play to you mate for getting your point across though.

Looking forward to seeing it soon pal. :D Any chance of you taking us out for a spin?? :winky:

All the best

Mossy :D

yeh i'll take u out in it mossy. The wheels are being refurbed at moment so its off the road, and then its going to RC developments for some BHP so i'll let u know when its ready.

Yeh i realise i'm fighting a losing battle but i dont mind. Like i said before i appreciate the vee for what it is but in my own humble opinion a evo is better for what i want so i bought one. I like tuning stuff so the vee isnt the car for me. Too much outlay for little gains etc.

"better" is too subjective; different is probably more appropriate.

Over the last year it's been pretty obvious as the forum grows that for some the Vee is a keeper for others it's just a stop on the journey to find their ideal car.

I've nailed my colours firmly to the mast as can be seen by the amount of time and money I'm putting into my vee but I also have no problem admitting that of all my previous cars the one I miss the most is the Skyline R32 GTR which has many of the "plus" points of the Evo.

These discussions have a habit of descending into talk of 1/4 mile times, youtube video links etc which will of no help to the OP so lets try and avoid that if possible. d8mok if it carries on snowing down here I know which car I'd rather be in... :winky:

very true comments. Each to there own i feel is the case. I sold my evo to buy a v6 and regretted it so i sold the vee to buy my all time favourite evo.

The funny thing is that i do really like the v6 and thats why i still come on this forum cos i might return one day when i can buy a lunar or yellow one aswell as whatever else i own.

I think 'more capable' is a better phrase hehe :) We own know the Evo would utterley own the Vee down a, well, I was gonna say 'twisty road' but with the exception of a few of the tweaked ones, I'm just gonna say 'road' hehe! But the Vee is SO better for posing haha!

I'm not going to go into mpg etc, cos that's boring and for people who own diesels - and let's face it, you can hardly boast when you own a Vee anyway - except to annoy tree hugging hippy types...

Dan - can't get insured on an Evo cos he's only 24 and everywhere laughed at him
