Try these guys for a quote

Hi,

Try these http://www.hagertyinsurance.co.uk/ they class the Vee as a classic so will insure. I have had a quote including agreed value, very low compulsory excess, limited mileage and protected NCB for less than £500.00

I work in Buckingham for a company called Caravell so ask for Ruth at Haggerty and tell her you know Peter from Caravell who works with her Mum, and they should help.

They are a broker and all their policies are underwritten by others so rates are competitive.

If need be I could probably arrange for some sort of club discount?

Regards

Peter

Right I have spoken with Ruth and she is prepared to give all V6clio "club members only" an extra 10% discount off the normal premium subject to non modified cars you just need to state you are a member no reference number required.

for info I am 34 yrs old, full ncb, no accidents convictions etc, £100 compulsory excess - no voluntary, protected ncb, 4000 miles per year and agreed value and it costs £432.00 with the 10% off. These policies are underwritten by Alliance previously Cornhill Insurance so reputable.

Happy shopping!

Just to maybe save people time if they try this route....

Hagerty will only insure you if the vee is your 2nd car and you dont use it to get to work.
Max mileage allowance is 5000 per year
Car must be garaged at night (to make the quote competative)

Ruth was very polite and helpful so maybe worth a try if you fit the right criteria!

....thought this might be a great opportunity for me to get a cheaper quote than the one I have at the moment [smilie=icon_cry.gif] (£796 quid... )

The [smilie=icon_clown.gif] who I am with currently (I have 14 years NCB now) said my premium had gone up to £987 QUID this time from £756 it was last year WTF..???!!! But alas its not to be....

I HATE INSURANCE COMPANIES WITH A PASSION
