TRW1 Progress Report

Tim I wasn't be descriminatory I couldn't remember if you'd gone over the 2 year threshold at which it becomes clear that some sort of award is due. Without wishing to derail Tim's thread (two too many Tims!) I could see some sort of 2 tier award system similar to MBE, OBE.

For those who have waited a long time but have been able to enjoy their car during periods of development you get the lesser award that still recognises your tenacity. For those who have forgotten how to drive a v6 and may be found climbing into the wrong side due to lack of familiarity you get the big reward.

So in that light I nominate myself and Tim (TRW1) for the "big one" (I'll leave it there) and yourself, Ray & James for the "small one"...

Tell you what I'll even volunteer to run the award system!

MikeT's left the building. V6Max has maxed-out. Fred's ( throttle-bodies) are so-far dead.
Any progress reports to lift the gloom Tim?

Very Little news I'm afraid Kett.
Glimmers of hope that things will be moving forward now.
Hoping to be done in the next 6 months, we're dependant on an outside source.

Just skimmed through all of this. Brilliant is all I can say. And inspirational. Can't wait to see it in person one day.

Scott has been busy on the car of late, it's starting to look like a car again. We're hoping to have the engine back soon (that's been the hold up) and then Scott can finish it. Several more changes from the last info posted as the project has evolved. Most notably the stick shift has gone and we'll run purely on the paddle shift.

Collecting mine from Scott's on Saturday. Will try and have a (respectful) nose around yours if you don't mind!

No problem...if Scott will show you. It's tucked away in the museum. ;)

I had a peek at yours the other day too, very nice. I'd forgotten what presence these cars have.

Ah ok. He knows I'm considering ITBs for the future so you never know, the cheeky devil may well have it on site trying to tempt me!! :)

:)

might not be able to comfortably go beneath standard engine covers though.....but I see you're not averse to some modifications if required.

Not fussed about retaining those nasty looking bits of plastic! Just need to sort a perspex bulkhead and the covers'll be off for good :)
