trip computer fuel consumption source

one last question - just trying to understand how the whole thing works without having one infront of me

the reset needle on the left side of the clocks - I understand it has 2 functions.

1- pushing it will zero both the trip computer and the normal mechanical trip meter
2- twisting it clockwise will 'reset' the trip computer - for when it's been unplugged etc...

according to the wiring I have: http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z18/Matteh449/F4R/R19Tripconnection.jpg

I can only see how you run through the screens (earthed via the wiper stalk button) and how you reset it...

so what is the difference between zeroing and resetting the trip computer? and how do you wire these up :D

Just thought I'd update this...

unit successfully installed in my clio dash in place of the ext temp display unit!

couple more questions :o

is it possible to change the outside temp reading to Celsius? I know on the clio unit you just earth one of the pins to change it...

and is it possible to change the fuel readout from gallons to litres? I think I read somewhere that it's not but thought I'd ask incase I'd missed something! :D

no its not easy to change to metric readings.

as for upgrading to digi dash on a 19.

it was covered earlier, digi level sender, digi dash display, if the green plug is behidn the existing dash display plug it in and get the digi wiper stalk job done
