Nearly fell off the kerb when I came out of the showing of the Ferrari Race to Immortality film.. and spotted a PH2 the spit of mine outside.. sadly didn't take mine as tucked up now. Hope you enjoyed the event..

Looking nice Oli :approve:

Is Alfa Romeo's historic link to Ferrari, when Enzo Ferrari raced Alfa's, covered at all in this film?

Nope... it is really just about the GP drivers who drove for Enzo in the 1950s, and their relational with Enzo and each other, some quite harrowing genuine period footage and a lot of archive material not seen before. Worth a watch...

Shell used to have a fantastic archive of old films in Hendon that were able to be borrowed by motor clubs, 16mm and 35mm some with sound! Huge array of subjects and were great to watch :approve: Circuit, GPs, Mille Migia, Rallying, Prewar etc etc. Might be worth a trip or call to see what they still have if anything! You may well find material relating to Enzos days at Alfa. Apparently this is the contact today: http://bufvc.ac.uk/archives/index.php/collection/450

It was a nice little event, some great older Ferrari's.

The car has never had so much attention! It featured on Modern Classics Magazine facebook page the next morning and now they will be publishing an article in their 'Your Drives' section. I used it as an excuse to plug this forum, SG motorsport and also as an attempt to expel some of the classic V6 myths.

Good to hear that - did they say which issue?

Looks like Modern Classics mag cannot get enough of the Vee. So far, they have featured our club stand at Silverstone Classic for the last two years running, both in their monthly magazine and on Facebook/Twitter, including a walk-around video of Kett's AY.

Is the walk around on you tube or their website?

If you go to their FB page and scroll through Videos - it was Silverstone Classic at the end of July.

The ‘Jaguar experience’ were tearing up the tarmac nearby, so the sound quality is appalling.

.....and here it is. You sure that this is a Vee that got all that attention?! :) [smilie=yay.gif]

Finally! What do you think of my waffle?
Excellent waffle! and sound advice to buy a car on its history and current owner not just that it looks shiny on the outside when in a car showroom :approve:

Well worded waffle Ollie! A good read that and love the choice of photo!

Do you know the story about your cars first owner? Link

I had seen that a while ago Duncan, am I correct in thinking Steve Jones owned it whilst he was dating Pamela Anderson?

Shame there are no pictures of them/her with the car.

Lol, looked a lot different when I saw it at Studio 34 :) Nice write up ...

It spends more time clean than dirty, not for lack of trying! Soon to be in the French/Swiss alps for 2 weeks.
