The White 19

Lewis, I have two 16V Ph2 headlights and the missing dash piece that goes above the clocks, I can bring them to FCS for you. (only a week away)
also the indicators, the ph1 and ph2 indicators are slightly different in size, the ph1 being slightly larger and it looks like you may have ph1 indicators there.

and whatever the funny tank thing is poking out the bottom in that picture, looks like an overflow that empties into the bottom of the bumper liner, what is it

i think you're referring to the charcoal canister

Yeah that would help a lot! How much you want for the lot? I thought it would be something silly like that.
And Baz what on earth is the charcoal canister for? What does it connect to?

The charcoal cannister is part of the emissions system. fumes from the petol tank, injection system etc are soaked up by the cannister stoping them venting to atmosphere.

how does £25 sound for the lot?

Unless I can find a fiver, would you mind through paypal? Don't carry much cash anymore since my new card

I have found out it's put a shock through on the O/S, as I can lift the wheel up and down with my hands but can't on the N/S. Knew that would happen, I just wasn't quick enough!

What do you mean you knew it would happen?

The weight in the boot won't have caused it, the shock/mounting doesnt carry any load when at rest.

Check it's not the usual corroded 'washer' on the shock stanchion inside the arch.

I am indeed coming to WSR they just won't let me show the diesel :(
It's ok I'll quite happily take any parts you have that will fix any problems I have! Or even if their in better condition!
Neal I thought that the weight in the boot would eventually break the shock (excess weight etc) is this not right then? Which washer bit would it be, top/bottom?

washer is on top of the shock, meant to be under the mount area in the boot but corrodes leading to the shock popping through into the boot.

im kind of in the same situation, the project black ebay car i picked up, needs both sills done. i was disheartened too, but look at it from another angle, once its done PROPERLY, you know it shouldnt come back
