Very cool … I need to get Sram to send me their new groupset and some Zipp wheels to refresh my bike for this years events1530 grams, yeah I'd say pretty light for a deep rimalthough the Hunt aero 50 wheels on my Canyon road bike are 1487 grams. The Zipp can be used on the road and gravel.
They actually are more resistant to punctures as you're riding, as the slime that's in the tyre washes round whilst your riding, and if you get a puncture, it seals up the hole as you ride along. Typically if you get a puncture, the first you will know about it is the tyre will be flat the next morning... rather than whilst you're out on the bike.Whats the reason for tubeless? Surely it just makes it more difficult to resolve a puncture?
Indeed, it feels like it's been a very long winter, glad to finally see some decent weatherI've been out twice this year so far, 2 x 34km, it's just getting to the turning point where its pleasurable and not a freezing cold misery hike isnt it![]()
