The business end, the engine department:
I bought the supercharger kit in January, over a period of 4 weeks I then bought numerous OE service items and parts to add to or better the look and functionality of the kit.
Completely stock bottom end, I'm not the first to charge a standard F4R so I knew after reading many threads that this engine was well known to take a low pressure kit around the 250bhp mark. This was my aim from the start, to hit that figure. It wasn't just a case of 'throwing it in' in 1 long weekend, this took around 2 months of evenings by someone whom some of you may or may not know. His name is Jon of ex Torsion Tuning fame, at that time he wasn't 'tuning' but more bread and butter service work and other jobs, this conversion would be the first major conversion he's done in recent times. So, as you can see the conversion wasn't done just by me or on a driveway but undertaken by a specialist in a workshop.
The same as the mapping, I decided to bite the bullet and have the Clio taken to EFI Parts in Runcorn. Chris does a drive in drive out service where you leave the car there, the Adaptronic ECU is proffesionaly installed then mapped from scratch to give the final, reliable, safe power of 256bhp and 206ft/lbs.
Already fitted but benefits to have these in place to cope with the extra power.
