There's something that is still annoying me since I got my V6.
The steering seems to have a large dead zone and is quite light. It also feels as if there's not a great deal of feedback from the front wheels when cornering.
Is there a chance my steering is screwed? I think it veers to the left but only slightly.
Also, at the moment, when turning right at full lock, with a slow manuever I get a creacking noise which is dead annoying (it doesn't happen when I turn left.
I took it into Renault last week and they noticed that my powersteering wasn't working as I needed to get a pipe replaced.
Thats now fixed but I'm still not happy with the steering.
They couldn't figure out what the creaking noise was and they wanted me to bring the car back in (due to the snow they couldn't test the car for a road test) but I'm not too sure as Renault charge a bomb for garage work (powersteering cost me £580
)
Any advice on what I should do? I don't want to take it back to Renault as to be honest I'm well skint now.
