Hello all

Hope you can help

Got a phase 2 and think the starter solonid is stuck.... we have the car on a ramp... undertrays off... any tips ??

Hi Fraser,

Starter motors have been a common issue. Here is where most people got their replacement from.

Starter motors notorious, magnets are bonded on the Valeo units and degrade over the years leading to failure. Bosch do a replacement with bolted magnets, problem solved :approve:

I think you will find the replacement renault one has bolted magnets, well mine did

I have a spare starter motor, all works ok £50 Post £10.

Notice your the trader who just sold the illad v6 on piston heads. Gutting if the cars got a problem

At least its on the ramp, mine went in the middle of town on a sat afternoon, much fun.
