stainless steel exhaust

Hi ,im considering a full stainless exhaust for my atmo and wandered if anyone else has one ,and if so is it worth it ? ,i have heard of 'tinny ' exhaust notes from stainless and did not want to ruin the soundtrack

Mine being a Turbo i have only the single back box. The down pipe and straight section are the std mild steel sections, but the back box is an after market stainless steel 'powerflow' back box that was fitted to the car when i bought it. Seems to be well made and good fitment.

If I had an atmo i'd defo consider it, and combine it with a tubular manifold

if you wanted to simlify your atmo system you could do away with the first silencer and just use one back box like a turbo, peter of here has a turbo back box and pipe on his sounds a bit more throaty and if you want stainless may reduce the cost of having a system made as its simpler?

Thank you for your replies , i think i will go for it and see what its like , as i have a couple of places of rot on my existing system noted on the mot advisory ,seems to make sense to fit a stainless system .1 less thing to worry about .

Quicksilver exhausts do a full stainless system for the Atmo but I think it might be a bit expensive.

Finally had exhaust done from front to back excluding manifold though .very happy with result and looks much nicer and sounds pretty good .Best £330 spent in a long time car went through mot and ready for another year on the road

Sounds like good value, at the rear did they go up and over and then down again towards the silencer? I might be up for that they are not too far from me. Which bore did you go for?
