Can anyone tell me the specs of the engine bay (surroundings air) temperature sensor?
An atricle number for this part would also help! Thanks in advance!
All I can tell you is that the engine bay temperature for the anti percolation fans (side fans) to run is greater than 70 degrees centigrade + or - 10 degrees after the engine is switched off

Hi! Thank you for your response!! My V is equipped with a 55-65 degree sensor. This doesn't seem like the original to me. When the fans switch on, it takes a long time before they switch off again. (killing the battery) The 55 degrees seems much too low to me. The original sensor has a serial number. It would be nice if I could find it somewhere or someone has that number for me .....
No part number but these switches are available with a whole range of temps. I would try 70 or 80 degree.
I think the fans will only run for a maximum 20 minutes so shouldn't kill the battery.
