5 GT Turbo Somebody know this part?

hi guys,

I'm new in this forum. I bought in April an Renault 5 gt turbo and since them have been a very exited experience...some times too much exited !! So far I cut, grind, weld, cut again weld again, hahah but it's looking good. I will post some pictures soon.

I'm crazy because I cannot find this parts anywhere and I call Renault garage and they have not been very useful.
I'm having troubles to find the rubber boot in the lower part of the gear level that cover the spring to engage the reverse gear. Mine it's broken.

Any idea? Or even maybe part numbers?

I am sure you will not get the rubber boot as a separate item, only with a complete assembly.
Give me an hour or so and I will have a part number for the gear lever unit.

Thanks mate...do u think that they will be still selling in Renault?
I thought that maybe from a Clio mki could work!

Here you go,
I have done some assumptions on the year (post June 89) but if its pre 89 you will still the part number shown plus the housing, i would also recommend getting a new gear knob.
A Clio MkI item may work but a quick check would indicate there two or three variation on the lever depending on model

My car its May 1989.... The boot have a part number...but when I google it does not appear any result at all. Also the guy in Renault told me that it's not longer available.

The part number that you gave me is the complete gear lever? Do u know the part number is the post June?

I would just buy a second hand complete gear lever. You will get one off ebay no problem.

7700739829b part number is most likely a assembly line part number for when they build sub assembly.
I made a bit of a mistake on the change date, its Feb 89 (normal 5s are June89) is the change. So as yours is a May 89 only the part number I listed should be required.
