Small update on the Discovery
We've hit a fairly major stumbling block at the moment, the car is ready for an MOT aside from a couple of exhaust trims but the major issue is the front lights. I bought a brand new light for the drivers side which of course needed programming, it was programmed with topix but of course this car identifies as an L494 Range Rover SVR. The lights programmed up fine but there's some differences of how the control is done so we currently have main beam for indicators, indicators for side light and some other funky functions! Unfortunately I programmed the passenger side at the same time so have a pair that dont work
While attempting to fix this ive already bricked one body control unit, the new one is on and running but the car has now lost the keyless function on the doors so that's another thing we need to sort!
The three choices we have at the moment are:
A pair of used working lights
A pair of used working modules HCM and HCMB, this would be ok but would need to match the exact lamp type and there's around 4 or 5 versions I think.
Borrow a 2022+ Discovery and plug my lights in, reflash with topix or pathfinder and refit to the disco.
