Mk4 friends, nice to catch up with one of my old steeds today.

If you've seen the Mk5 Clio renders it looks like a mini Mk4 Megane.

Talk on the town is now Renault have ditched the GT Line and changed to RS Line, there won't be a Clio RS just a Megane RS. We'll have to wait and see

It's been a few weeks since I've been out in it what with commitments elsewhere so last weekend I made the effort to get out and put some miles on the clock, 150 miles to be precise. A and B roads staying off the main roads. It really covers ground quickly, what with the sunny weather I really enjoyed being back behind the wheel.


Thought I'd give it a half decent wash by hand too as it's been a while, it makes a change to see the wheels are actually diamond cut and the paint is actually a metallic and slight pearl!

The power and torque hike is ridiculous, like the Mk4 Clio it really comes alive. 4 weeks to go until Spa.... But this weekend the Megane goes away for a few weeks.

It wasnt exactly slow before despite "only" having 280ps. It will be a rocketship now.
What are OE tyre brand/model?

Be interesting to see anything after it goes away and then the trip to spa.

Bridgestone S001 tyres, would prefer to have Michelins all day. I really need to sort pads and fluid though.

Spa will be epic, what's been done should definitely help in some way too.

I havent driven on the S001 compound. Assume PS4S are the next tyres.

Brigsy mentioned fade in one when he was at Rockingham after a few laps so I'm thinking Spa will be harder on them

It's an amazing product, you don't have to use much. Literally a dab from the bottle goes a long way and gives you either a gloss or matt look depending on how much you wipe off. Recommended by our very own Scratcher of Detail R when he detailed the 200 EDC.

IMHO I think the white is the best colour for the M4RS
