The parts guy is raising an enquiry with Renault Accessories, it seems they are RHD mats but the RS badged logo is on the left hand side and not the right hand side for you to see when you open the door. He's told me just to keep the mats anyway and hopefully they'll be a set with the badge on the correct side.
Congrats, looks amazing, you have now properly planted the seed...
Ill be enquiring next week to see when we will have stock in country and any deals on trading up my 250 for a 280...
I see that paperwork refers to an RS300 aswell... Anyone got any info on that?
Game changer, like the Clio 200 and 220 Trophy it really needs the map to give the already decent chassis a good workout.
Funny as well as most of the reviews and people on forums and social media critiqued the Megane for having the least power in its group behind the Type R and VAG cars.. The Focus was leagues ahead of the rest in power terms always.
When the map graph came out, all of a sudden.... Oooo engine is untested for the power blah blah blah, you give it more power and now there's a problem! To be fair, to a point we don't know how what the clutch and/or gearbox is rated to.... Without dogging all over the Internet for info.
The difference is crazy, the extra torque really pulls. I went away for the weekend in Germany the day after going to Leeds, I let rip on an unrestricted autobahn..... I got to 163 and backed off. I managed to GoPro film a pull from 90 to 155mph which took 30 seconds. When I checked a YouTube acceleration video on a stock 280, it took over a minute 10 seconds to do the same pull. It just runs out of puff top end and struggles to 155mph.
I did 2 laps at Zandvoort but it was just too manic, they sent out nigh on 50 cars, it was like the Wacky Races! Brilliant track so I'd like to go back.
