Ricardo's 200EDC Progress Thread

I know what you mean Riccay, I’m the same with my dealer, but I’m sure if my parts guy departs, I’d be back to square one.. ☹️

Relationships are long forged.. but easily broken.

You would have to have good eyesight for sure. Its a long way from your place.

I assume you are selling it then and going old skool?
Unsure, changes are happening at work in the next 12-18 months which might mean needing a van. Of course I'll go Renault with a Trafic but it might mean having to sacrifice the Clio. Long way off but pre empting a potential change with work.

Wheel bearing fitted, fresh Motul 600 brake fluid and genuine bleed nipples from Renault fitted on the rear calipers. On picking it up at Eds workshop we discussed a couple more jobs I'd like doing, Type D coolant change and the aux belt kit. I popped into Renault on the way home and picked up enough coolant to add to what I already have and will order the aux belt kit from RPD.

I think once those jobs are done I've then covered all the service items for the age and mileage (91k) of the Clio

Another job I'd like doing is a wheel refurb on the Trophy wheels as I've kerbed the edges slightly on the front 2. Which means swapping to the 17" black Cup wheels.

Really like the look of your car @Ricardo

Thank you, I noticed on the black vinyl roof there's an ever so slight bubble on it. I'm either going to remove it and just leave it all white or go for a colour change like a Matt grey. I don't mind the black itself it's the nature of the vinyl not being up to spec like paint.

I'd still like to get it up to RS Tuning to make sure it's running ok but those prices for power runs mentioned the other day were a bit 😳

I reckon a deal could be had.

I'm slowly ticking off the jobs on my to do list and this one has been on it for ages. It's one thing hearing about the power and torque from the previous owner but I wanted to see it for myself, and to basically make sure after nearly 3 years of owning it that everything is as it should be.

I booked the Clio in a week ago after Andy made arrangements and made the 456 mile round trip from Essex to RS Tuning in Leeds. A few power runs later confirms it's still healthy with the map absolutely fine.
